Senior Software Engineer, Atlas Clusters Security
MongoDB · Nashville, TN, USA · no salary listed · via jobspy:linkedin
Fit analysis
The candidate is a highly skilled full-stack engineer with proven experience building complex, high-availability systems and managing intricate data flows. While the core engineering skills are excellent for a Senior SWE role, the resume lacks explicit depth in dedicated security architecture or specific cloud provider security tooling required by a 'Security' focused position.
Where you fit
- System Architecture: Proven ability to architect and deploy complex, high-availability systems (e.g., 1,800+ asset IoT monitoring platform) demonstrating senior-level design capability.
- Full-Stack Proficiency: Expertise across the stack using Next.js, React, Node.js, and Rust, meeting the general requirements of a Senior Software Engineer.
- Data Integration & Modeling: Deep experience managing complex data flows using GraphQL (Hasura), PostgreSQL, and integrating live blockchain nodes, showing mastery over diverse data models.
- B2B/E-commerce Expertise: Extensive background in building headless B2B e-commerce portals (Shopify/Next.js) and optimizing critical business workflows (30% quote accuracy improvement).
- Infrastructure Management: Experience designing and implementing scalable power and network infrastructure for zero-disruption rollouts, indicating strong operational awareness.
Where you may struggle
- Security Domain Expertise: The resume does not detail specific experience with security architecture principles (e.g., threat modeling, secure design patterns beyond basic authentication) required for a dedicated 'Security' role.
- Cloud Security Focus: While infrastructure scaling is mentioned, there is no explicit mention of working with cloud-native security services or compliance frameworks (like SOC 2, PCI DSS, etc.) that are critical in enterprise security roles.
- Database Specificity: The job targets MongoDB/Atlas Clusters. While the candidate excels with PostgreSQL and relational data, direct experience optimizing or architecting solutions specifically within a NoSQL document model is not shown.
