Fit analysis

The candidate demonstrates exceptional full-stack capability, deep operational ownership, and experience building complex, high-availability distributed systems. However, the resume lacks explicit experience in core Identity and Access Management (IAM) protocols or specific compliance frameworks like FedRAMP/PCI DSS, which are central to this role.

Where you fit

  • Distributed Systems & High Availability: Engineered Colony Watch, a real-time SaaS platform aggregating telemetry from 1,800+ machines, demonstrating experience with high-volume, fault-tolerant data pipelines (Rust/JavaScript).
  • Full-Stack Architecture: Proven ability to architect and deploy complex B2B headless portals using Next.js and integrating multiple third-party APIs into custom product configurators.
  • Backend Integration & Data Management: Extensive experience managing complex e-commerce data flows by bridging disparate systems (WooCommerce, Shopify) using Hasura/GraphQL and PostgreSQL.
  • Operational Ownership: Demonstrated ability to ensure 'zero disruption' during large-scale infrastructure rollouts and maintain critical operational protocols for physical assets.
  • API Development & Microservices: Built secure Node.js/Express backends utilizing PostgreSQL and NGINX, supporting complex B2B workflows and non-payment guest checkouts.

Where you may struggle

  • Identity and Access Management (IAM): The job requires deep experience with global authentication and authorization systems; the resume does not show specific work with core IAM protocols like SAML or OAuth 2.0 implementation at an enterprise scale.
  • Compliance Frameworks: There is no explicit mention of working within regulated compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP or PCI DSS, which are required for handling sensitive identity data.
  • Core Language Preference: While proficient in Rust and JavaScript/TypeScript, the job lists Java, Go, C++, or Python as preferred languages; while not a hard gap, this difference may require ramp-up time.
  • Cloud Platform Specificity: The resume shows cloud *concepts* (cloud hosting clients), but lacks deep evidence of operating production services specifically on OCI, AWS, Azure, or GCP at the required senior level.
